Here is the plate in mid repair. I have applied basic lacquer a couple of times along with sabi.

One of the first things I did after arriving in Switzerland is smash this little cup, hand painted by the grandfather of Veronique, my host, to smithereens, Heavy jet lag.
It is very thin porcelain and I almost have it back together. The table in the last photo is about 3 meters long.
