New Project, Shigaraki vase

This is a vase I picked up last week. Someone dropped it and then did some homemade repairs. It looks like they first fitted it back together with some kind of adhesive. They then filled it with something and set the inside on fire. My guess is to either try to fuse the clay or hide the adhesive. At this point all the burning out did was remove most of the adhesive. Yesterday when I used compressed air to clean the inside ash flowed out of all the seams.
It is a Kamakura period Shigaraki vase so I am sure it ruined someone’s week when it broke. I am going to try to take it completely apart and put it back together with kintsugi.
